 The meat has high food value. However, because of the larvae of Liptostracom nabalia present in many fishing regions (e.g., in the Sea of Japan, in the Tatar Strait), it is not used as a food. Fish flour should be made from the pollock mince. The walleye pollock liver oil contains large quantities of vitamin A.
