Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal soft rays: 10 - 11. Differs from all of its congeners by having a distinctive flattened and concave inter- and postorbital skull roof and thickened lips, with a terminal mouth opening. Lips are protruding by a stronger development of the underlying cutis connective tissue in the lip region (Ref. 55026).
