Diagnosis

Diagnosis: 22-24 mandibular teeth; body marbled, fins marked with series of spots and black bands; maxillary barbels without basal membrane, reaching to anterior half of humeral process and longer than head; postocular length at least 60% of snout length; entire margin of opercle smooth; caudal fin without single dark patch at base of each fin lobe; dorsal spine weakly serrated along posterior edge but not along anterior edge (Ref. 81251).

Description: mandibular barbels with short, broad branches; snout subconical; lips moderately developed; premaxillary teeth forming a short but wide band; 22 to 24 movable mandibular teeth; humeral process twice as long as wide; adipose fin as long as or only slightly shorter than its distance from first dorsal fin; pectoral spines strongly serrated along both edges; pelvic fin not reaching anal fin; caudal fin deeply forked; caudal peduncle longer than deep (Ref. 81251).

Coloration: body brownish or blackish, marbled with white; fins whitish marbled with black (Ref. 81251).
