Similar to S. kobensis, but differs from it in having the caudal fin with 2 simple rays on upper and lower margins, and with 2 broad dark bands, and the pectoral fin much shorter than the head. In males, middle part of body on blind side dark-blue and interorbital width broader than that of females. |
