Type locality, about 5 km south of Vila Basílio, on road to Pedro Osório, Arroio Arambaré, Pedro Osório, Rio Grande do Sul, MCP 41323 (holotype of Hisonotus armatus, 4.44 cm SL, female). Found in Laguna dos Patos system from the southern most Rio Jaguarão drainage, to the Rio Jacuí and Rio Taquari drainages. This is unknown from the headwaters of the Rio Jacuí and Rio Taquari drainages (Ref. 78747). |
