Comments: Recorded from the Atlantic Coastal drainages from Cape Fear River south through Florida peninsula, and west in Gulf Coast drainages through Mississippi River; extends north in Mississippi River basin to southern Illinois (Ref. 10294). Locally common in southeastern USA; uncommon in Mississippi basin (Ref. 5723).
