Comments: Known from the lakes of the Great Lakes Basin: Khar-Us, Khar, Nogoon, Khyargas, Achit, Tolbo, Uureg and Tal (Ref. 57778). Type locality, Channel between lakes Khirgis-Nur and Airik-Nur, West Mongolia, ZISP 50163 (holotype of Oreoleuciscus angusticephalus) (Ref. 57727).
