Comments: Type localities: New South Wales, Port Jackson, Sydney, AM B.9758 (holotype of Gobius depressus) and Port Hacking, Gunnamatta Bay, AM IA.2517 (holotype of Gunnamatta insolita) (Ref. 75154). Widespread in the southeastern coast, from New South Wales to South Australia, including Tasmania (Ref. 9002).
