Comments: Type locality, Chascomús lagoon, Buenos Aires Province, ILPLA 1704 (holotype of Hyphessobrycon togoi, 59 mm SL, female). Known from Salado river system and tributaries of Río de la Plata in Buenos Aires (Ref. 57841). Also Ref. 84422.
