The head is small and prolonged, with quite prominent teeth, and a crescentic patch is visible below the eye. Position of the origin of the anal fin is appreciably posterior to the dorsal fin. Snout is prolonged, and the distance between the posterior edge of the dorsal fin and the origin of the anal fin is 6 to 7 times the length of the base of the dorsal fin. Pigmentation: A row of melanophores above the gut running from end of the head to the posterior tip of the body. |
