| The head is round, the eyes are large (0.4 mm in diameter), with dark crystalline lenses and silverish-blue irises. The mouth and jaws are well developed, the lower jaw slightly prominent. The fin fold is wide, begins just behind the head, the fin blade is well developed. The pectoral fins are roundish, 0.9-1.0 mm in length, almost reaching the anus. The blood is colored red, and the heart rate is about 160-1665 beats/minute (Ref. 34679). Pigmentation: One star-like melanophore is situated on the head between the eyes, and there are three star-like melanophores behind each ear capsule. The upper part of the intestine is much pigmented with star-like melanophores, and a row of point-like melanophores is situated along the lower part of the caudal region (Ref. 34679). | ||||
