Comments: | The spawning site or nest is normally constructed under and against a small rock with a diameter of between 25 to 75 cm; the male excavates the sand from beneath the rock and heaps it up to form a semicircular wall around the hole under the rock (Ref. 47113). Male spawning sites are usually at least 2 meters apart, even in the densest populations (Ref. 47113). Spawning takes place inside this rock-sand nest (Ref. 47113). | |||||||||||
