Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
Max. size:  9.2 cm SL (male/unsexed); 9.83 cm SL (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 62 - 136 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Philippines; China Sea, vicinity Hong Kong and Western Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Known from a depth of 110 m. Feeds on small benthic animals.

Country info:  Museum: collected between Samar and Leyte Islands in 61 fathoms (112 m), 'Albatross' collection Stn. D. 5481, USNM 93091 (as Bothus variegatus, holotype, 9.2 cm). Also Ref. 280, 9824, 33373.
