Family:  Adrianichthyidae (Ricefishes), subfamily: Oryziinae
Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Northern part of Luzon, Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-7; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-18. Color in life gray, yellow sheen above and a silvery luster along the sides; dusky stripe from upper angle of opercle to caudal base. Body laterally compressed.
Biology:  Non-annual breeder. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).

Country info:  Known from Solsona, Batac, Laoag, Bacarra and Dingras (Ref. 2853). Museum: Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Luzon, creek and rice fields, Fish and Game Administration collection No. 41062 (holotype, 3 cm; 29 cotypes, 2.4-3 cm). Some specimens were sent to Stanford University, California. Also Ref. 12591, 12738, 27139. Endemic status computed from FishBase data (country records, occurrences records in literature and in point data) on 16/07/08.
