Max. size:  15 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: the Philippines and Indonesia (Sulawesi). Recorded from Papua New Guinea (Ref. 2847).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 62-74
Biology:  Adults are found in rivers, while juveniles may come from estuarine areas. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
