Max. size:  12.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan to the Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 12-12. Lateral line scales 27, plus 1 on the base of caudal fin; nearly always 13 pectoral rays (rarely 14), females without dark caudal spot; longest dorsal soft ray ranges from 1.95-2.3 in HL (Ref. 33416).
