Country info:  Described from specimens collected in 1926 from a small mountain lake beside sitio Lanigay (Lake Lanigay), Polangui, Albay, Luzon. A hardy species, reaching maturity at about 1.5 cm long (Ref. 439). Reported from Lake Taal (Ref. 13446).
