Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 790 - 910 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Sulu Sea, Philippines.
Diagnosis:  The barbel has a single, simple branch arising from the stem and reaching beyond the barbel tip. The terminal filaments are stout. With clublike tips and having numerous (about 20 each), closely spaced, short bulbous side filaments along their lengths (Ref. 34246).
