Max. size:  7.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 387 - 1537 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: widely distributed in the region. South China Sea and East China Sea (Ref.74511).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lipid content is 7.9 % in fresh body weight and wax ester is 3.7 % in total lipids (Ref. 9193).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 26 June 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Collected from China Sea near Sombrero I., Batangas (Ref. 280), USNM 93162 (holotype of D. streetsi). Collected during the Hearst Expedition 2011 done off Batangas and Mindoro, off SW Luzon (Ref. 95664).
