Family:  Cynoglossidae (Tonguefishes), subfamily: Cynoglossinae
Max. size:  27.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 176 - 421 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Philippines, through Celebes, to the Timor Sea. Also reported from Taiwan (Ref. 5193).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 110; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 92-105; Vertebrae: 57-61. Scales between dorsolateral and midlateral lines 19 to 22 (Ref 9895).
