Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Chrominae
Max. size:  13 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 3 - 15 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Sri Lanka, Andaman Sea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and northwestern Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 11-12. Description: Exhibits geographic color variations (Ref. 7247). Overall olive green, often yellowish, pelvic fins white or yellow (from Indonesia). Body depth 1.9-2.2 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Adults inhabit coral reefs (Ref. 7247). Diurnal species (Ref. 52881). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
