Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan and the South China Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 17-19; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 17-17. Description: Body black, fins pelvic white, tail yellow. Body depth 1.7-2.0 in SL. Scales longitudinal series 80-90 (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Inhabits rocky reefs (Ref. 43239). Found in small groups or solitarily. Captured specimens few (Ref. 90102).

Country info:  Probably found at northern Philippines deeper reefs (Ref. 90102).
