Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 62 - 450 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: Japan to Western Australia and off the Hawaiian Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-23; Anal soft rays: 15-29. Maxilla with well-developed tentacle at posterior tip (Ref 12932).
Biology:  Benthic on sand (Ref. 58302).
