Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 3-3. Preserved color brownish yellow, dark above, paler below, belly yellowish; all fins pale; a faint dark bar may be present on shoulder. 9-10 scales between nape and dorsal. Lateral line strongly curved beneath the dorsal. Snout narrow and blunt, equals an eye diameter or exceeds it by half. |

Described from eight female specimens, 7.8 - 11.8, collected at the type locality, Dansalan, Lake Lanao, Mindanao (1921, 1922) (Ref. 2929). Still present in a 1982 survey (Ref. 12758). No specimen was caught during the 1994 expedition (Ref. 10888). Also Refs. 3881, 13446, 70969, 94476. |
