Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
Max. size:  11 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 3 - 224 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Indonesia, Philippines, northwest Australia, and possibly Taiwan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 100-108; Anal soft rays: 78-83. Body without a large dark spot posteriorly on the base both the dorsal and anal fins (Ref 42535).
Biology:  Inhabits coral-sand bottoms (Ref. 9824, 48637) and algae-reef substrates in coastal bays to deep offshore (Ref. 48637). Feeds on benthic animals (Ref. 9824).
