Max. size:  6.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 10 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 14-15. Description: Head and body pale grey, scale margin blue. Body depth 1.7-2.0 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Found near shelter shores. Inhabits rich branching coral areas of Porites cylindirca and Echinopora horrida (Ref. 90102). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205). Has no pelagic larval stage but young remains with parents during early life (Ref. 90102).
