Family:  Xenocyprididae (East Asian minnows)
Max. size:  23 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Dianci lake, Yunnan, China.
Diagnosis:  Body dark grayish on back and silvery white below; gray on dorsal fin, reddish on anal fin and orange red on caudal fin. Belly rounded and with scutes from end of pelvic fin to anus; snout blunt; eyes located in lateral of head; mouth small and transverse, lower jaw with a well-developed horny anterior edge; upper jaw thick and slightly projected (Ref. 45536).
