Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Fiji.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 17-17; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 18-18; Vertebrae: 26-26. Diagnosis: Dorsal fin rays 17, segmented. Anal fin rays 18, segmented. Longitudinal scales about 77. Caudal fin pointed. Lacks a row of black spots on its side, with yellow spots on a lavender background on its head and anterior part of its body (Ref. 56674).
Biology:  Collected above fine, silty, sand with small coral patch (Ref. 56674).
