Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: lower Congo (Ref. 1877, 1878, 41591) and Pool Malebo (Ref. 41585) in Democratic Republic of the Congo. Also in the Sangha (middle Congo River basin) in Cameroon (Ref. 46233). Also reported from the Chiloango (Ref. 1877), from where one of the four syntypes originates, although species not included in Ref. 81635. Report from the Rio Cuebe (Okavango basin) in Angola (Ref. 89016) questionable and needs verification.
