Max. size:  22 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine; depth range - 15 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found among brown and red algae in sheltered reef habitats. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
