Distribution:  Africa: known only from the lower Congo River near Inga Dam, in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 42510, 52307).
Diagnosis:  Description: relatively deep-bodied for the genus; head pointed; frontal profile steep; mouth large with thickened lips; big males with a relatively small but nevertheless prominent hump on head (Ref. 52307).
Biology:  Rheophilic; seems to feed on diatoms and other small particles; pair-bonding, cave spawning species (Ref. 52307).
