Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Iraq.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11. This species is distinguished by the following characters: D XI,11; anal-fin membrane black, with second anal-fin is subequal to third anal-fin spine; scale rows between fifth dorsal-fin spine base and lateral line 5½; pored lateral-line scales 52; highest body depth 42 % in SL (Ref. 95680).
