Diagnosis:  Diagnosed from other species of the genus Sinocyclocheilus by the combination of the following characters: dorsal fin with 8 branched rays; protrusion-like structure between head and trunk in body back and bent down to parietal; and snout long (Ref. 89399).
Biology:  Occurs in cave (Ref. 89399).
