Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Aquarium conditions preferred: pH=7, H=10, 22°C, with rocks, plants and driftwood. Egg laying peaceful community fish (Ref. 6398). Bottom spawner, 4 months incubation. Is easy to maintain in the aquarium (Ref. 27139).
