Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 75 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Bermuda, New York to Florida (USA), Bahamas, and Mexico to northern South America.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits shallow clear waters from shore to 75 m depth.
