Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: Dominican Republic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits headwater streams. Associates with Poecilia and Limia species in small, sand-bottomed creeks with fast currents (Ref. 13498). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
