Distribution:  Oceania: Fiji.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Distinguished by the following characteristics: slender-bodied; mid-lateral dark band formed by 7-8 brown blotches and series of narrow vertical dark brown bars along mid-side; first dorsal spine VII; first dorsal fin low, rounded; second dorsal and anal rays I,7; pectoral rays 15-17; longitudinal scales 26-29; TRB 8-9; predorsal scales 7-10; circumpeduncular scales 12 (Ref. 84480).
Biology:  Restricted to the Lekutu and Dreketi River systems on the island of Vanua Levu, Fiji (Ref. 84480).
