Max. size:  8.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin in Xishuangbanna (Yunnan) and in Laos.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10; Anal soft rays: 8. A black, midlateral stripe, narrow anteriorly and regularly widening posteriorly (width 1.5-2.0 scale rows), extending onto median caudal rays; in life, the body is silvery to bluish with a dark blue blotch on the caudal fin and the posterior part of the caudal peduncle (Ref. 27732).
