Distribution:  Asia: Pathe Chaung, lower Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-6; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 10-10. Differs from the only other member of the genus Pseudolaguvia tuberculata in having an adipose fin not reaching posterior insertion of dorsal fin, a narrower head (23.8-25.1 versus 26.7% SL) , and a shorter snout (12.8-14.3 versus 16.7% SL) (Ref. 50586).
