Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 1 m
Distribution:  South America: Upper Amazon River basin in Colombia (Ref. 28825). Recorded from the río Ucayali basin in Peru (Ref. 96862).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 24-27; Vertebrae: 32-33
Biology:  Found in shaded or partially shaded rainforest stream. The bottom was clay with much leaf litter and without submerged plants.
