Max. size:  4.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: South-central to southern Japan, Hong Kong, Korea; Viet Nam, Taiwan, and Fukien Province in China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 6-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 7-9; Vertebrae: 26-27
Biology:  Inhabits sandy and muddy bottoms of estuaries and coastal freshwater streams not far from the stream mouth; probably fresh water tolerant (Ref. 43716).
