Max. size:  12.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Nosivolo River, Tamatave Province, Madagascar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-15; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-11; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-9; Vertebrae: 29-31. Solid golden-brown base body coloration, with two wide, black vertical bars on the flanks (Ref. 39915).
Biology:  Inhabits rivers with sand and gravel bottom and scattered boulders.
