Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: throughout the California Current region, seaward of the continental shelf (Ref. 35839).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-13; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 13-15; Vertebrae: 38-39. Branchiostegal rays: 12 (Ref. 35839).
Biology:  Oviparous, with planktonic eggs and larvae (Ref. 35839).
