Family:  Gobiesocidae (Clingfishes and singleslits), subfamily: Lepadogastrinae
Max. size:  1.47 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: São Tomé and Principe, São Tomé Island.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal soft rays: 7-7. This species is distinguished by the following characters: D 7, A 7, pectoral-fin rays 29, caudal-fin rays 17; gill rakers on 3rd arch 12; head width 4.9 in SL; orbit diameter 3.0 in HL; snout is short and bluntly rounded; disc length 5.2 in SL; disc with 2 rows of papillae in region A, 5 rows in region B, and 1 row in region C; no lateral papillae in disc region A; anus is closer to anal fin than disc; sides of body with 6 vertical bars (Ref. 128876).
