Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: 04°-12°S, 40°-65°E. Eastern Indian Ocean: 17°02'S, 94°50'E.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-17
Biology:  Oceanic and mesopelagic, found in the upper 500 m at night.
