Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Peedee and Santee River drainages in North Carolina and South Carolina, USA. Introduced to Chattooga River (Savannah River drainage) in Georgia, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky runs and pools near riffles of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 86798).
