Family:  Cichlidae (Cichlids), subfamily: Pseudocrenilabrinae
Max. size:  9.95 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; depth range 20 - 50 m,
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Tanganyika, found in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Ref. 57033, 103657) and at Kasenga in Zambia (Ref. 57033).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 15-16; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-15; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 11-13; Vertebrae: 37-39
Biology:  Found rocky habitats in in-shore waters at a depth of usually 20 to 50 meters; copepods and algae were found in stomach (Ref. 103657).
