Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater,
Distribution:  Africa: present only in the Fwa River (Lubu River tributary, Kasai drainage, middle Congo River basin), Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 13455, 52307).
Diagnosis:  Description: slender to moderately deep-bodied; snout somewhat more pointed than that of C. fwae; frontal profile straight or rarely slightly concave; caudal fin truncate to subtruncate; caudal fin of males slightly rounder than in C. fwae(Ref. 52307).
Biology:  Mainly feeds on algae and diatoms; ovophilic, maternal mouthbrooder (Ref. 52307).
