Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Barbacan, Abongan and Babuyan drainages in northern Palawan, Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal soft rays: 8-8
Biology:  Inhabits streams, medium and large rivers with clear, slowly moving to relatively fast flowing water, with gravel and muddy substrate. Feeds on shrimps, worms, insect larvae and detritus (Ref. 57971).
