Max. size:  3.93 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 3 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Tonga.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 11-11. This species has the following distinct characters: gill opening extends forward to a vertical about halfway between posterior edge of preopercle and hind margin of orbit; caudal fin is longer than head length, 2.65-2.8 in SL; second dorsal spine in male 2.95 in SL, in female and 2.65 in SL; longitudinal scale series 50-51; 3 longitudinal rows of dark spots on body (Ref. 50606).
Biology:  Collected from silty sand and rubble substrate (Ref. 50606).
